The Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola is engaged to The Fray guitarist Joe King, she revealed Wednesday.

Hot summer TV eye candy!
Accola put her engagement ring on display in the picture, and in a subsequent photo she posted of her and King laughing together. Nina Dobrev was quick to congratulate her co-star. "DYING RIGHT NOW! Jessica Simpson Plans to Get Married Soon After Second Baby's Birth

2013 promises to be doubly momentous for Jessica Simpson: The imminent birth of baby number two (a boy to join big sister Maxwell, nearly 13 months) -- and a wedding! More than two years after Eric Johnson's fall 2010 proposal, the Fashion Star mentor, 32, is at long last ready to wed, a source tells Us Weekly.
During her April 14 baby shower, Simpson "was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born," the source reveals. Simpson and former NFL pro Johnson, 33, have had to cancel nuptials twice thanks to surprise pregnancy news. Thus, the source reveals, "Jessica said, 'Let's have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!'"
Towards that end, the Weight Watchers spokeswoman -- who packed on about 70 pounds with Maxwell -- is already mindful about dropping post-baby pounds for the wedding. During pregnancy number two, the singer is getting help from a personal chef who cooks up calorie-conscious food at her new $11.5 million home in Hidden Hills, Calif.
"The chef is there all day," a second insider says. "Jessica eats things like egg whites and sausage. It's healthier." (Source)

Adam Levine Responds to Voice Controversy: I "Love My Country Very Much"

Adam Levine is in hot water after he was heard saying, "I hate this country," on Tuesday's episode of The Voice.
Levine made the remark after Carson Daly revealed that America had voted to save country music singer Amber Carrington, one of Levine's contestants. The statement was caught on Levine's open mic, even though the camera was focused on fellow coach Blake Shelton.
It's unclear what inspired Levine's comment, especially since America had chosen to keep one Levine's singers on the show. Earlier in the evening, however, two of Levine's other contestants, early frontrunner Judith Hill and soul singer Sarah Simmons, were eliminated. Perhaps he was hoping those contestants would stay longer than Carrington?
The Maroon 5 frontman seemed to try to clarify his comments as a misunderstanding on Twitter Tuesday night. He tweeted the definitions of the words "joke," "humorless," "light-hearted" and "misunderstand" all in succession. Levine also issued a follow-up statement on Wednesday. "I obviously love my country very much and my comments last night were made purely out of frustration," he said. "Being a part of The Voice, I am passionately invested in my team and want to see my artists succeed. Last night's elimination of Judith and Sarah was confusing and downright emotional for me and my comments were made based on my personal dissatisfaction with the results. I am very connected to my artists and know they have long careers ahead, regardless of their outcome on the show." (Source)

Selena Li to consider Kenneth Ma

Recently, the cast of TVB's period drama "Cold Mountain, Hidden Dragon" had a costume fitting, which led the media to ask about the romance between the two leads, played by Kenneth Ma and Selena Li.
According to Jayne Stars, Kenneth revealed that he asked for intimate bed and kissing scenes with the two of them to be in the drama in order to better display the couple's loving relationship. However, as he is afraid that Selena will reject the idea, Kenneth said that he will do his best to 'court' and persuade her to trust him.
When asked about what she thought of Kenneth, Selena replied that she finds him to be a gentleman and that if she is still single five years later; she will consider Kenneth as a potential love interest.
Aside from the two, the costume fitting was also attended by Lin Xiawei and Power Chan. Xiawei is replacing actress Aimee Chan in the role of a martial arts master as the latter has to fly to Canada to visit her ailing mother.
Last week, Xiawei, Raymond Lam, and Karena Ng flew to the United States to attend the graduation ceremony of Raymond's younger brother at the University of Southern California. Apparently, Raymond's full attention was only on Karena during the trip, to which Xiawei laughed and joked that she preferred to carry her own luggage anyway. (Source)

Mandy Wong doesn't want to kiss Benjamin

Fans of "The Hippocratic Crush" will be excited to know that Mandy Wong and Benjamin Yuen just recently filmed a proposal scene for the sequel, "The Hippocratic Crush 2", but it seems that Mandy is not excited about kissing her co-star.
According to Jayne Stars, the scene filmed in Wan Chai saw Benjamin's character trying to propose to Mandy's character in the presence of a large group of friends. After loud cheers from the crowd, he was to hug Mandy and kiss her.
However, Mandy looked very stiff and held her lips together tightly. Her reluctance to participate in the intimate act made Benjamin awkward, but the two had to continue anyway as the camera was still rolling. After a number of outtakes, the director decided to accept the scene instead of wasting time and took a few more shots of the roaring crowd instead.
Mandy's reluctance led many to speculate that she was shy, but two days later, she shot a bikini commercial and appeared very natural and friendly in front of the dozen cameras.
Currently, the TVB actress is filming for "The Hippocratic Crush 2" and "Always And Ever" at the same time while next month she will begin shooting for "Tiger Cubs 2". (Source)

Soo Wincci's RM 1 million loan

Malaysian singer Soo Wincci reveals that she borrowed a loan of RM 1 million (SGD 420,000) to boost her singing career despite coming from a wealthy family. Her confession came after an interview by Taiwanese well-known host Chang Hsiao-yen.
Soo, in a televised programme, explained that there are some misunderstandings about her due to her affluent background. She explained that as an independent woman, she decided to take up a bank loan instead of relying on her tycoon dad, who owns an authorised supplier of Disney clothing in Malaysia. The Miss Malaysia 2008 winner, who is now a singer, said she faced strong objection from her family members for venturing into showbiz, but has no regrets doing so.
Commenting about her latest single "Happiness", which successfully took a spot in Taiwan's KKBOX chart, she felt grateful for what she had achieved by herself.
"I feel warmed and touching after viewing the feedback left by the Netizens. I believe it's a wise decision to buy a chance with RM 1 million. I'm fearless and tireless. I will continue to sing even if there's only one listener", she speaks fervently. (Source)

Cara Delevingne 'too cool for DiCaprio'

Cara Delevingne reportedly turned down Leonardo DiCaprio's advances as he's "just not cool enough" to date her.
The Hollywood heartthrob allegedly pursued the 20-year-old beauty at The Great Gatsby party in Cannes earlier this month.
She is said to have ignored Leonardo's flirty ways at the star-studded film festival which has reportedly encouraged him to try harder.
"He's 18 years older than her - that's old enough to be her dad. She loves young, fun, sexy rocker types like her former flame Jake Bugg. She thought Leo looked like a bit of an idiot dancing in clubs, wearing a flat cap. Maybe he'd suit one of her older sisters, but she thinks he's just not cool enough for her," a source told British magazine Heat.
"Leo does not take rejection well and the fact that she shot him down just makes him want her more. Cara makes him feel young and cool again and she's just his type. His ex-girlfriend Blake Lively said no at first but he just kept texting and calling her until he wore her down. If he thinks a girl is worth it, he'll keep chasing her - that's what he'll do with Cara."
Although the pair are said to have exchanged contact details, Cara allegedly refused to leave the bash with the hunk.
“They spoke and he was pretty forward inviting her to a party back at his suite,” a source revealed last week. "They swapped numbers but that was it. He tried every trick in the book and apparently kept lunging for her but she kept dodging them.”
Apparently friends of the catwalk star are shocked she rejected the movie favourite.
Leonardo has gained somewhat of a lothario reputation after dating a string of high-profile models. He has enjoyed romances with some of the world's most beautiful women including Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli and Erin Heatherton. (Source)

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart 'worked hard at romance'

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart apparently "couldn't have tried harder" to make their romance work.
The pair are believed to have split earlier this month, with Robert moving his things out of their shared home. According to reports, the Twilight stars struggled to move on after Kristen was unfaithful last year with married director Rupert Sanders.
"The truth is they couldn't have tried harder to make it work. There is genuine sadness - a really deep disappointment - that it didn't work out. But in the end I think they just ran out of steam. You can only keep banging your head against a brick wall for so long before the pain just isn't worth it," a source told British magazine Grazia. "They've never been able to get back to where they were before Kristen did what she did with Rupert. No matter what steps they took, that was always in the background. And every time they argued it was like falling on a bruise. Robert's had enough. He's that little bit older and wiser than Kristen, so in the end he was the one who had to take responsibility and do the right thing."
It has been reported that Robert lost his cool when he spotted new text messages from Rupert on Kristen's cell phone. According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, the 27-year-old British hunk saw a message from Rupert flash up on Kristen's phone on his birthday, so he "got straight up and left".
There is also speculation that Kristen became frustrated with Robert's friendship with singer Katy Perry. They have been spending more time together in recent months, and even reportedly crashed a wedding rehearsal together in California over the weekend.
Katy is said to be helping Robert through the recent break-up.
"Kristen has always been jealous of their friendship and the couple have had rows over it in the past - most recently just last month at Coachella when Rob joined Katy for drinks and Kristen was left with their pals at the hotel," a source added. "Rob and Katy have known each other for a while and have an incredible chemistry."
While Robert has seemingly turned to Katy as he battles his heartache, Taylor Swift has proved a shoulder for Kristen to cry on. The country pop star has been offering support to Kristen in recent weeks, as the split takes its toll on the 23-year-old brunette.
"She's in a very hard spot right now; she's absolutely devastated over Rob. She's broken, but she's also really angry with him. Kristen is hopelessly in love with him." (Source)

Shahid Kapoor's mother sued

Shahid Kapoor's mother, Neelima Azeem, has been sued by producer Rajesh Vyas in the Andheri Metropolitan Court for failing to rope in the stars she had promised for her movie.
According to The Times of India, Neelima was to write, direct and choreograph a film for a total fee of Rs 66 lakh, which she also promised would star the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Emraan Hashmi. When she could not get the two on board for the film, she then promised that she would get her son Shahid as the lead, but did not live up to her promise again.
When asked, Neelima said that the court summons had come as a rude shock to her.
"I did sign a contract but there was no mention that I would work only after getting Priyanka and Emraan on board. For Vyas' sake, I approached both the stars, but neither of them was interested in the film," she said.
She said she then spoke to Kunal Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Jimmy Shergill and Sonu Sood but Vyas turned them down as desperate actors. As for her son, she exclaimed that Shahid is a superstar and the Rs 8 crore film does not deserve him.
Neelima also alleged that she was the one who repeatedly tried to contact Vyas, who disappeared for four years after their last discussion in 2009, to no avail. She herself was only paid Rs 12 lakh after working on the script for six months.
"These people have run out of money and are trying to make some by defaming me," she said.
The next hearing is scheduled for 12 June 2013. (Source)

Chris Tong can't recognise culprits

Malaysia-born MediaCorp actress Chris Tong, who had recently been robbed in downtown Kuala Lumpur, blamed herself for not being able to recognise the faces of the robbers and admitted that she is not a good citizen. This is also her first statement released after the horrendous attack one week ago.
The incident happened at 1am morning on 21 May at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur while Tong was out buying supper. She was attacked by a suspicious man when on her way to collect her car and suffered scrapes and bruises to her arms and legs as a result.
In a phone interview with The Straits Times, the 30-year-old actress was caught unaware as the man came from behind and pushed her to the ground shortly after. She previously told the media that the man is tall and has tanned skin, but she had difficulties in recognising the culprit's face.
The following is the original Facebook post by Tong:
"I had, again, asked the policemen to come to my residence again for investigation. I have troubled them for several times. I believe I'm not a good citizen. It's regrettable that I couldn't provide sufficient evidence for the policemen. When I was asked to recognise culprits, I replied to them that I may not able to do so. This is true. I couldn't simply pinpoint anyone, right? I feel angry of myself as I'm so stupid! Attached herewith is my recent photo. Although my bruises had recovered, but it's sad to say I'm a living idiot. I'm so sorry." (Source)

Canada's Bob Ezrin takes unique Croatian duo 2Cellos under his wing

The first time Canadian producer Bob Ezrin saw 2Cellos perform, the conditions weren't exactly optimal for the Croatian duo.
They were opening for Elton John in Orlando, with 16,500 people on hand who — Ezrin notes — had virtually no interest in watching 2Cellos. They weren't so much inhospitable as indifferent.
"The show starts with Elton on this big screen and his disembodied voice and he says: 'There's two young musicians that I'd like to introduce you to. They come from Croatia,'" Ezrin recalled.
"And when he said the word 'Croatia,' you could hear the whole audience go: 'Zzzz,'" he added, laughingly mimicking the crowd's collective snoring. "And then they hear 'Cellos' and everyone's on their BlackBerrys. They had tuned out. 'Ladies and gentlemen, the 2Cellos!' I think four hands applauded."
But Ezrin listened, and soon, so did everyone else.
"They come out on stage, they plug in and ... it's loud, it's powerful, and it's rocking. So from the first note, they got everyone's attention."
And Ezrin's, moreso than anyone else's.
He already had 2Cellos on his radar since watching a YouTube video of the classically trained duo — the jocular Stjepan Hauser and his more stoic partner, Luka Sulic — using their cellos for a rousing, powerful cover of Michael Jackson's nimble classic "Smooth Criminal," a clip that has now been viewed nearly 8.5 million times.
Not long after taking in their performance with John, Ezrin was driving from Nashville to Evansville, Ind., to meet the pair at a "fleabag motel" and start mapping out the tracklist for their major-label debut "In2ition." Released earlier this year, the album includes an impressive array of guests — including John himself on "Oh, Well," virtuoso guitarist Steve Vai on a cover of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell," "Glee" star Naya Rivera belting out Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole" and star Chinese pianist Lang Lang on Coldplay's "Clocks" — as well as interpretations of songs across all genres.
In addition to those songs, 2Cellos also interpret Rihanna's neon-hued dance smash "We Found Love," the Police's brooding classic "Every Breath You Take" and the Prodigy's frenetic "Voodoo People."
So what did the legendary Toronto producer behind such smashes as Pink Floyd's "The Wall," Kiss's "Destroyer" and Alice Cooper's "School's Out" see in the pair? For one thing, that they had the ability to illustrate the immense possibilities of an instrument typically associated exclusively with classical music.
"They're playing everything — they go from hip hop to high classical, so to be able to share that with kids is great because it shows them that music is a very broad thing and it also in a very kind of unconscious way shows them that they can express themselves in a very broad way," Ezrin said, seated next to the duo. "They don't have to be about one thing. They don't have to use one simple language."
Hauser has been playing cello since he was eight, Sulic since he was five. They met at age 14 at a summer-music camp in Europe.
"Straight away we found a chemistry," Sulic said. "I said: 'Oh, look at that lunatic. I want to play with him.'"
They were widely considered to be rivals, given that they were two phenomenal young cellists from the same small country. But they always considered themselves "great friends."
The idea to interpret pop songs began when they linked up in London two years ago.
"We were a bit fed up with playing only one kind of music, classical music," Sulic said.
Recently, the trio visited Toronto's Regent Park School of Music — an organization dedicated to providing low-cost music education to youth-in-need — to lead a workshop. With local kids hammering away competently on the steel drums, Sulic and Hauser loudly pounded Jackson's "Billie Jean" through their amps while Ezrin patrolled and offered advice.
This, they say, is part of the inspiration behind 2Cellos: stoking an interest in classical music among those who otherwise might not give the genre a chance.
"This is like a mission for us, to introduce classical music," Sulic said. "We get many emails and feedback from people who'd never heard of cello before or classical music in general."
Sulic and Hauser both remain interested in playing classical music in the future.
Still, their experiments in pop music don't always elicit support from peers in the world they've temporarily left behind.
"Especially with my old colleagues — you know, their mindset is still very conservative and they don't really appreciate different kinds of music," Sulic said.
Added Hauser: "They're not objective. They're just like, OK, this is classical music, it's worth more than any other music, just because it's classical. There's so much rubbish in classical music. There's (also) rubbish in pop music, but there's also some really great songs that can be compared with great classical masterpieces. What matters is the message and the emotion that goes through the song."
Here, Ezrin gets the last word.
"The snobbery of the classical world is very much like the snobbery of any eclectic pursuit. And all that comes from is fear.... It's not some feverish devotion to a higher standard, it's actually a fearful clinging to the fiction that this thing is actually of any importance. Because at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is those people in those seats applauding," he said.
"My message to the classical world: who wants to hang out with uptight people? Nobody."
With these three, that doesn't seem an issue. Their easygoing chemistry is obvious, such as when Ezrin goes off-script to ask whether the pair ever pursued the same woman. Hauser shakes his head and deadpans: "His taste is horrible."
Ezrin, too, gets digs in. After Hauser raves about the "legendary" producer, Ezrin is asked when 2Cellos surfaced on his radar.
"I thought you were going to say: 'When did they get on my nerves?'" he laughed. "I could say: instantly." (Source)

Chris Brown Didn't Give Woman False Information In Fender Bender

Chris Brown did not give out incorrect information to another motorist following a fender bender in Los Angeles, his rep told Access Hollywood , despite a report claiming otherwise.

Chris Packham: I hid badger under my bed

Chris Packham has revealed he once smuggled a badger into his house as a child and hid it under his bed to keep as a pet.
The Springwatch presenter and naturalist, who lives in Norfolk with his partner Charlotte and two poodles Itchy and Scratchy, revealed how his attempts to befriend the badger back fired.
Chris, 52, revealed: "We had a badger which I smuggled upstairs in my coat. I would wait until there was something my parents wanted to watch on TV and sneak upstairs. The badger went to sleep under my bed and everything went quiet then my dad came in and the badger completely kicked off.
"I had some Subbuteo stored under my bed and I remember my Man City team got completely trashed. Of course the badger was banished and my dad was like, 'Get that out of here!'"
Chris and co-presenter Michaela Strachan both use to work on children's wildlife series The Really Wild Show, and Chis hopes TV is still helping kids get discover nature.
He said: "Steve Backshall does a great job on CBBC. He's very popular with kids and he's flying a flag [for wildlife].
"I just hope the kids out there respond in the same way to him [as they did us], because you do meet people who say to you, 'I saw you do this thing to a cuttlefish once in The Really Wild Show and I thought it was so good I started studying them.
"Children buy the books but they don't engage with the animals. I'm not saying there's any diminishment of their enthusiasm but the contact isn't there. I remember taking grass snakes into school. I took a fox cub in once but nowadays they'd get the World Health Organisation on it. They'd think the fox would eat the kid and the grass snake was toxic." (Source)

James D'Arcy excited about new crime show

James D'Arcy has revealed he is excited about being part of new crime show Those Who Kill.
The Cloud Atlas star has signed up to star alongside Chloe Sevigny in the adaptation of the Danish series and thinks it promises to be something very different.
James said: "I did a pilot and we're going to shoot the rest of the series at the end of this year. I play a forensic psychologist.
"It feels like a crime drama but I think it's going to be a bit more of an explanation of insanity.
"It's based on a Danish show but I think we're going to deviate quite quickly away from it, because theirs was 90 minute stand alone episodes, always catch the show every week, and our show's not going to be that.
"I don't quite know what it is yet but I'm really excited to find out."
The British actor thinks the cable show will be more interesting than mainstream crime series like CSI.
He said: "I think cable is where all the interesting writing is being done. All the shows I like, Breaking Bad, Homeland, Mad Men, Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones - that's all being done on cable.
"CSI is a very straightforward crime show, but I don't think that's what cable even wants to do, it's not as interesting. On cable they really try to push things and do something daring." (Source)

Dr Karl recorded Neighbours theme

Neighbours star Alan Fletcher recorded a swing version of the soap's theme tune that didn't make the cut to be used on the show.
The actor who has played Dr Karl Kennedy for almost 20 years went into the studio for one of three versions of the Aussie soap's famous theme tune which was recently revamped.
Alan said: "There were three different possibilities and I recorded one of them, which didn't become the final choice. It was more of a sort of swing version. It's really jolly."
He is a keen musician as part of on-screen Neighbours band The Right Prescription and in his own real-life band Waiting Room.
Alan has done a few UK university tours with Waiting Room but says he won't be doing another one until next year as he is doing panto this year instead, playing The Sherriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood.
He said: "It's certainly a joyous thing to do, it's one of the great offshoots of doing Neighbours to be able to get out and do music as well." (Source)

She said: "It's a nightmare, I absolutely hate the bump.
"I keep having to be remeasured for different ones because it's getting bigger and bigger. I think I've just been measured for my eight month one. I don't think I could get any bigger but they're going, 'Oh, but you're so lovely and petite and this is what it'd be like'.

Mexico's Amat Escalante wins Cannes best director

Mexico's Amat Escalante on Sunday won the best director prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his ultra-violent film "Heli" about his country's blood-drenched drug wars.
The 34-year-old director, who was forced onto the defensive after the violence left some members of the audience uneasy, paid tribute to this year's Cannes jury headed by Steven Spielberg.
"This earthquake, I wasn't expecting this! Thank you to this brave jury... to Mexico, I hope we never get used to suffering... " he said.
"Heli" tells the story of a family caught up in gangland battles in an unnamed desert region of contemporary Mexico and contains protracted torture scenes.
In one scene, a character sets the genitals of a suspected cocaine thief ablaze.
Escalante reacted to criticism of the film by calling it an accurate depiction of the situation in underworld crime-blighted Mexico.
And he dismissed critical questions about upsetting audiences.
"What's the point of not showing the violence just so the audience can go through the story and not suffer so much when actually that's not how violence is in real life?" he asked reporters.
"I think I'm curious about sex and death and violence, and so that's all in the film," added Escalante, whose last picture "Los Bastardos", set among the Mexican community in Los Angeles, played in Cannes' Un Certain Regard section in 2008.
"Heli" features amateur actors, telling the story of a police cadet who falls for the 12-year-old sister of a factory worker named Heli (Armando Espitia).
Film industry bible Variety called "Heli" "an accomplished but singularly unpleasant immersion" in the drug wars and noted that it was the most "explicit, realistically violent film" in the Cannes competition in several years.
However Robbie Collin, a reviewer for London's Daily Telegraph, said: "Even a bleak existence can make an uplifting story."
"Heli may be the most optimistic film you will ever see in which one young man sets another's genitals on fire," he wrote. (Source)

Emma, 37, admitted it was a bit daunting to be put in charge of a show she loves so much.
"I do know quite a lot about Big Brother, yeah - everything actually. Someone has given me my dream job - someone has given me the job of fronting my favourite show in the world ever and I've got to be good."
She also revealed she was looking forward to the main Big Brother series more than the celebrity version.
"I like the normal one because you judge somebody instantly. In a three-minute VT and entrance you've judged them and you think you know them and then they go into the house and they are totally different.
"Whereas with the celebrity one, you think you know them, you have a perception of them, you already have that judgment, yet they go in there and they show you who they really are."
Big Brother is back on Channel 5 in June. (Source)

Jessica Hynes' hopes for suffragette sitcom

Jessica Hynes has said she hopes her new sitcom about Suffragettes will inform viewers about their history.
The Twenty Twelve actress has written and is starring in Up The Women, a BBC Four comedy set in 1910.
She told the Radio Times: "It's our history and it's empowering, and yet we're detached from it, and that's wrong.
"You get young girls saying, 'Didn't Parliament want to talk to them, and then they started doing all that militant stuff, and it was bad, and they didn't behave themselves, did they?' No. That's not what happened."
The sitcom, which also stars The Thick Of It's Rebecca Front, started out as a comedy film Jessica was going to write for the BBC about a suffragette plot to kill Prime Minister Asquith.
Jessica, who wrote and starred in Spaced with Simon Pegg, said she changed her mind after researching the subject more.
She said: "I started to realise how dark it was, reading all these lists of women who were beaten up and killed.
"You think of Emily Davison as the only martyr, but it was all quite serious. It was no longer Carry On Up The Suffrage. I was crying into my tea."
Up The Women begins on BBC Four on Thursday May 30. (Source)

Miranda Kerr: Orlando is spiritual

Miranda Kerr says her husband Orlando Bloom is an “honourable and spiritual” man.
The model has been married to the Hollywood hunk for three years and has discussed how they have matured and evolved together as a couple.
Orlando himself has previously credited the Australian beauty for helping him to find “himself”.
“We’ve grown together,” the 30-year-old model told British magazine Look. “He’s an honourable, spiritual man. I think that’s influenced me in a positive way.”
In 2011, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel gave birth to the couple’s first child, Flynn.
Miranda is known to be a big fan of yoga and Pilates and also likes to lark about with her toddler son to keep fit.
“I exercise every day - be it yoga, hiking, Pilates or resistance training,” she said. “I’ve been practising yoga for over ten years and my son often holds on to me like a koala. Flynn loves to dance, so I dance with him, too.”
The model also explained how she manages to stay in such fantastic shape.
Known for her love of organic food and cooking, the star tries to keep a balanced diet instead of depriving herself.
“I actually studied nutrition and I’m a certified health coach, so I’m very passionate about that. But life is not about depriving yourself,” she said. “I believe in the 80/20 rule – 80 per cent healthy and 20 per cent indulgent. So if I want a piece of chocolate, I’ll have one. I just won’t eat the whole block.” (Source)

Dwayne Johnson: Surgeon cleared hardcore workouts

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is back in the gym after hernia surgery.
The wrestler-turned-Hollywood star had to undergo the emergency procedure on April 22 after suffering three hernia tears during a wrestling match.
The injury meant he was forced to halt all workouts and watch his hulking physique deflate.
But Dwayne took to Twitter on Saturday to tell fans he’s beefing back up after getting the all-clear.
“Surgeon cleared me to dial up intensity 100% w/ training. Just crushed high volume leg day. #QuadsABurnin,” he wrote.
The actor included a black-and-white photo of himself in the gym.
Dwayne wears a pair of headphones, hoodie and sticks his tongue out in the image, making it clear he’s amped to get back into hardcore training.
The actor is having a great week. His latest movie Fast & Furious 6 has stormed the box-office since its US release. The film is projected for a $119.3 million debut this weekend.
“You've made FAST 6 Universal's biggest box office opening of all time. #HobbsTheBeast sends you his love..,” he tweeted Friday.
The performance as federal agent Hobbs was not without thanks.
Dwayne later logged back on to say studio bosses have been heaping praise on him. He also treated fans to another photo of his muscled physique. (Source)

Hollywood veteran Bruce Dern wins Cannes best actor

One of the stars of Hollywood's 1970s golden age, Bruce Dern, won the best actor prize Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival for his performance in Alexander Payne's "Nebraska".
In the recession-era road movie, the 76-year-old Dern plays an alcoholic father who believes he has won a million-dollar sweepstake.
Dern has enjoyed a long career playing villains and psychos which earned him honours early on, although he struggled to escape being typecast.
The 76-year-old, father of Laura Dern, began acting in the 1960s, appeared in the 1974 version of "The Great Gatsby" with Robert Redford, and played a baddie in last year's Quentin Tarantino bloodfest "Django Unchained."
Payne's black and white movie set in a crisis-ravaged American Mid-West, sees Dern's character, Korean veteran Woody, take a road trip with his long suffering son David from their home in Montana to his father's Native Nebraska to claim his purported million-dollar winnings.
The film was one of several screened this year featuring performances by stars from Hollywood's 1970s golden age including Michael Douglas and Robert Redford.
Born in Chicago in 1936, Dern started out on television before breaking onto the big screen in roles including westerns with John Wayne, whom he shot dead in 1972's "The Cowboys," the only actor to kill the Duke onscreen.
He was nominated for a Golden Globe in "The Great Gatsby," and an Oscar and a Golden Globe for 1978's "Coming Home," and won a Silver Bear in Berlin for "The Championship Season," but rarely took home the top prizes.
Critics say Dern, a close friend of Jack Nicholson, struggled to escape casting directors' assumptions of what he could play.
"I've played more psychotics and freaks and dopers than anyone," he once said. "Because I'm the only actor who ever killed John Wayne in a picture, producers have pegged me for a villain."
The actor, who was not at the ceremony on the French Riviera to accept his award, has been married three times, including to actress Diane Ladd with whom he had two children.
The first daughter died at 18 months. Laura Dern, born in 1967, went on to star in "Wild at Heart" in 1990 and "Jurassic Park" in 1993. (Source)

Battle heats up for BGT title

The battle to be crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2013 began in earnest as the names were confirmed for the semi-finals.
Just 45 acts remain from the thousands who applied and the hundreds who auditioned and they will battle it out for the prize of £250,000 and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
Hungarian shadow dance troupe Attraction is the early bookies' favourites, 2-1 at Ladbrokes and 7-4 at William Hill. The nine-piece wowed the judges in the first heat broadcast last month when Amanda Holden described them as "one of the most moving acts I have seen in seven years".
Another act tipped to do well is British Cypriot soprano Aliki Chrysochou. The 29-year-old was diagnosed with a brain disorder, focal encephalitis, while at university and lost all co-ordination of speech and movement.
Aided by her mother she used singing to aid her recovery and has been performing and teaching music ever since. She impressed the judges with an emotional performance of Bring Me To Life by Evanescence. She received four "yeses" and nearly brought the judges to tears with the significance of the lyrics to her story.
Northern Irish teenager Jordan O'Keefe is also highly rated. The 18-year-old from Londonderry impressed the judges with his acoustic performance of One Direction's Little Things.
Welsh operatic brothers Richard and Adam Johnson will be hoping to add fans to stand alongside their nan, who is their number one fan.
And Band Of Voices, a group made from seasoned backing singers, are hoping for their moment in centre stage after wowing the judges with their rendition of Jessie J's Price Tag and the national anthem.
One of the last to go through was one of the youngest.
Gabrielle "Gabz" Gardiner, a 14-year-old singer and multi-instrumentalist from Stevenage in Hertfordshire, got the judges singing along with her when she performed an original song, The One, at the audition. (Source)

Supermodel Nina Agdal Stands In for Kate Upton as L.A. Teen’s Prom Date

Jake Davidson's prom was definitely a night to remember!
While the Los Angeles high school student didn't end up bringing Kate Upton as his date ― although he certainly got her attention with his headline-making YouTube appeal ― he had another certified beauty on his arm for the rite of passage: Upton’s fellow model Nina Agdal.
The big night was Thursday in Santa Monica and it included the requisite prom photo shoot beforehand. Davidson, dressed in a gray tux with a black bow tie, happily posed next to the 21-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model, who wore a sage green halter dress that showed off her back.
"Had such a great prom night," tweeted the Danish beauty, who recently appeared in an ad for Carl's Jr. that ran during the Super Bowl. "Thank you jakedavidson23 for being an awesome date!"
"You are the best!" the 17-year-old replied. "Thanks so much for everything."
Davidson has since shared some of the details from his big night.
"She came over to my house to meet my family and then we headed over to pre-prom, which is where everyone from school takes pictures," he told Sports Illustrated's Swim Daily blog on Friday. "Then we headed to prom for a little bit, the usual schedule, but with a very unique date."
Davidson noted that Agdal "got along very well" with his classmates, describing her as "incredibly friendly." He added, "All of my guy friends loved the choice and certainly approved, and a lot of the girls wanted to get into photos with us as well. I would venture to say that a few heads turned when I walked in with Nina on my arm."
As for whether anyone tried to steal her away from him, he said, "Not at all."
Davidson made national headlines earlier this year when he created a YouTube plea to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model Kate Upton asking her to be his prom date. The video went viral ― it has over 2.6 million streams ― and one of the people who saw it was Upton, who tweeted Davidson and said she'd attend if she was free. However, her schedule ended up being booked so Agdal happily stepped in.
Not a bad trade-off by any means, which Davidson also acknowledged, noting, "Nina Agdal is the perfect date!" (Source)

Amanda Bynes Claims She Was 'Sexually Harassed' By Police Officer

Following her arrest on Thursday (and Friday release), Amanda Bynes is claiming she was sexually harassed by one of the police officers.
"Don't believe the reports about me being arrested. It's all lies," the 27-year-old former actress Tweeted on Saturday.
"I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me," she alleged. "He lied and said I threw a bong out the window when I opened the window for fresh air. Hilarious. He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal."
The embattled former Nickelodeon star claims she called authorities on the officer.
"I then called the cops on him. He handcuffed me, which I resisted, quite unlike any of the reports stated. Then I was sent to a mental hospital. Offensive," she wrote. "I kept asking for my lawyer but they wouldn't let me. The cops were creepy. The cop sexually harassed me, they found no pot on me or bong outside my window. That's why the judge let me go. Don't believe any reports."
According to the Associated Press, the New York City Police internal affairs bureau is looking into Bynes' harassment allegations.
"As it would with any such allegation, regardless of its credibility, IAB is investigating it," NYPD chief spokesman Paul Browne told the AP.
The extra-long Tweet is one of multiple Tweets Bynes has posted since her release on Friday.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on Friday (via Twitter), she denied using drugs and stated she thinks she needs "to get another nose job" after seeing her mug shot.
She later commented on her hair, Tweeting, "I need Nicki Minaj's wig person stat! :P" (Source)

Mariska Hargitay Returning for Law & Order: SVU Season 15 After Closing New Deal

Resolving a months-long behind-the-scenes cliffhanger, Mariska Hargitay has inked a new deal to return for Law & Order: SVU‘s 15th season, the actress trumpeted on Saturday via Twitter.
NBC execs, which renewed SVU earlier this month while negotiations with Hargitay were still going on, aren’t the only ones breathing a sigh of relief. The show’s fans — who watched as Hargitay’s alter ego Olivia Benson literally dodged a (potential) bullet in the closing seconds of last week’s season finale — can take comfort in knowing their favorite heroine will survive the ordeal.
The financial terms of the deal are TBD, but it’s safe to say that Hargitay — who pocketed a cool $500,000 per episode for Season 14 — will hold onto her title as TV’s highest-paid actress. (Source)

Charlie Sheen Changes Name Back to Carlos Estevez

Charlie Sheen is going back to his roots for Machete Kills. According to a screengrab obtained by TMZ, Sheen will be billed by his birth name, Carlos Estevez, for the upcoming film.
Though Sheen told  Univision last year, "I don't wake up feeling Latino. I'm a white guy in America," it seems he's once again ready to embrace  his Latino heritage after changing his name to Charlie at the age of 4. Though Sheen's decision to go by Charlie was simply to avoid confusion with an uncle also named Carlos, when he became an actor, he took on the last name Sheen to follow in the footsteps of his father Martin Sheen. On the other hand, his brother Emilio Estevez kept his birth name.
Returning Summer Shows: Where we left off
Martin Sheen has expressed his sadness at not using his birth name, Ramon Gerardo Antonio Estevez. In a 2003 appearance on Inside the Actors Studio, he told James Lipton, "One of my great regrets is that I didn't keep my name as it was given to me. I knew it bothered my dad."
Hopefully his son's recent decision to go by Carlos Estevez, even temporarily, will make papa proud! (Source)

Emily Maynard and Jef Holm Haven't Spoken in "Months"

Jef Holm has nothing but love for his ex-fiancee Emily Maynard, whom he met on ABC's The Bachelorette last spring. Though the couple called it quits in October 2012, the 28-year-old People Water co-founder is on good terms with his former flame (mom to Ricki Hendrick, 7).
"We haven't talked in the past few months. Last time we talked, things were in good spirits," Holm told Us Weekly of Maynard during the Electric Run L.A. event in Carson, Calif., May 24. "I hope the best for her. She's an amazing girl. She's just not the person I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with. I think she'll make somebody happy."
Now that he's single, Holm told Us he's "dating around and hanging out and having a blast. . . I'm not dating anyone in specific. I'm just having fun right now. Life's good!"
Calling 27-year-old Maynard a "homebody," Holm said he's looking for a woman with a more adventurous spirit. "I want someone who wants to share in the excitement of life with me," he explained. "I want to go out and be active and have fun and travel and do wild and fun things! That's what I want."
Holm also shot down reports that he's in talks to succeed Sean Lowe as the next Bachelor.  "I don't know what life holds, but I live life to the fullest and if there was a fun opportunity to do something, I don't know if I'd say no to it," he told Us. "But I'm not planning on being The Bachelor or planning on doing anything like that. I'm focusing on business right now." (Source)

Feud Alert! Kendall Jenner Fires Back at Frances Bean Cobain

Kendall Jenner has finally responded to Frances Bean Cobain.
Earlier this week, Courtney Love's daughter went on a Twitter rant, slamming Jenner for essentially being shallow and self-absorbed. Late Thursday night, Kim Kardashian's little sister finally responded to Cobain's judgmental comments.
"an individuals feelings are relative to their environment. you don't know me, you don't even know what i was referring to." Jenner, 17, tweeted at Cobain, 20.
"i am aware that i am very privileged and blessed, and im thankful for that everyday, i know there are greater problems... in the world," continued the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star. "i pray for those people every night and give back as much as i can. so who are u to judge me?"
In case you don't keep up with all things Jenner, the Twitter war started earlier this week after Kendall tweeted, "just wish things could be easier sometimes mann."
For some reason, that simple message set Courtney Love's daughter off: "@kendalljenner oh shh. There are kids on earth abandoned&homeless who forcibly drink contaminated water because clean water isn't accessible. oh ya, not to mention, CANCER, famine, poverty, draught, disease, natural disasters, Death. F--k, Humans are so self involved."
And she didn't stop there: "I'd like to thank my parents for providing me with a high IQ & I'd like to thank my grams for encouraging me not to be a self absorbed idiot"
Now that Jenner has said her piece, whose side are you on in this war of words? (Source)

NYPD investigating actress Amanda Bynes allegations

Internal Affairs officers on Saturday were looking into allegations made by actress Amanda Bynes that New York Police Department officers sexually assaulted her when she was charged with heaving a marijuana bong out the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment.
The 27-year-old former child star first alleged during her arraignment on Friday that police illegally entered her apartment after being called to her midtown building. But in a Twitter message believed to be from the troubled actress posted Saturday, Bynes alleged that her arresting officer also sexually assaulted her.
"As it would with any such allegation, regardless of its credibility, IAB is investigating it," said the NYPD's chief spokesman, Paul Browne, referring to the internal affairs bureau.
The Twitter handle used to make the sexual assault allegations Saturday does not appear to be verified by the social network— but Bynes' friend, former Hollywood publicist Jonathan Jaxson, said Saturday the tweet was made from Bynes' account. Twitter did not immediately return a request for comment.
In court on Friday, the former "Hairspray" star made no mention of the sexual assault allegations, though she did complain of illegal entry to her apartment. She's been charged with reckless endangerment, attempted tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana.
A law enforcement official who spoke to the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because of an ongoing investigation said the building manager was with officers at Bynes' apartment when they arrived Thursday night. The official said officers were kept waiting approximately five minutes before she opened the door to them. The same official said the building manager told internal affair investigators nothing untoward happened.
Bynes was released by Chief New York County Judge Neil Ross on her own recognizance because, Ross said, he did not believe her to be a flight risk. But in releasing her, Ross also issued a stern warning to Bynes, telling her not to get rearrested or miss any court dates. She's due back in court on July 9.
Attempts to reach Bynes' arraignment lawyer were unsuccessful Saturday evening.
Bynes rose to fame starring in Nickelodeon's "All That" and has also starred in several films, including 2010's "Easy A." But she has been in the news more recently because of several scrapes with the law and bizarre public behavior.
Bynes was arrested Thursday night after building officials called police to complain she was rolling a joint and smoking pot in the lobby. The officers went to her apartment where they saw heavy smoke and a bong sitting on the kitchen counter. They said she tossed the bong out the window in front of them, prosecutors said Friday.
