After originally pleading not
guilty, Farrah Abraham has reportedly struck a plea deal in her DUI case. A
Douglas County D.A.'s Office official tells TMZ that the Teen
Mom-turned-sex-tape star agreed to plead guilty to aggravated DUI in court on
June 20.
As part of the deal,
prosecutors will ask for probation. If the judge agrees, Abraham will avoid
jail time. Prosecutors will also ask that the 22-year-old MTV star be ordered
to pay $500 in fines, and have her driving privileges suspended. The remaining charges
of disorderly conduct and refusing to take a field sobriety test, however,
would be dropped.
Abraham was arrested in her
native Nebraska in March. Her attorney initially issued a not guilty plea in
court on April 29, and Abraham maintained her innocence during an Apr. 19
appearance on Dr. Phil.
"Yes, I was drunk,"
the mom to daughter Sophia, 3, said. "I was not driving. I was parked . .
. I drove around the corner and parked."
She argued, "If I was
still driving and then the cop pulled me over then, yeah, that's really driving
drunk."
In an interview with Us Weekly
in May, Abraham said her arrest was "really nuts," but she's moving
forward. "Life will sort itself out," she said. "But you know
what? Going through hell and back, I feel like I have learned a lot." (Source)
